Design work for collection, semi-custom or fully-custom wedding stationery does not begin without a 50% deposit. This deposit goes toward your total purchase price and secures your position in our design schedule. Remaining balance is due prior to printing. We accept all major credit cards via PayPal.
Deposits are due within 3 business days.
Unpaid invoices may expire in 5 business days,
and the reservation may go to another customer.
After a deposit is received, the following is included: 1 initial proof via email + 8 rounds of digital proofs to allow for revisions + 1 final proof for print approval, for a total of 10 proofs. Additional proofs beyond the included are subject to an additional fee of $25 per proof, unless of course Oak & Orchid is in error for. All proofing is done electronically, via email.
With the approval of final proofs via electronic delivery, the client agrees that the spelling, layout and content of the designs are correct and that the client has read and agreed to Oak & Orchid Policies. It is the sole responsibility of the client to assure that the content and layout are correct to their satisfaction. Oak & Orchid is not responsible for errors or inaccuracies that have been approved by the client for final print.
Items printed using our standard flat printing techniques will be delivered in 3 weeks or less. Any specialty printing upgrades, such as letterpress, metallic foil, or engraved wood will be delivered in 4 weeks or less. These turnaround times include print production and shipping only; they do not include the time it takes to work with each customer to reach a final draft. Rush production may be accommodated based on designer availability; additional fees and/or overnight shipping charges may be necessary. Final artwork will not be sent to print until the order has been paid in full.
Once the order has shipped, Oak & Orchid will send a confirmation with tracking number. We require a signature for all deliveries. Oak & Orchid is not responsible for transit delays due to inclement weather conditions or other faults of the parcel carrier. Oak & Orchid is not responsible for custom delays, custom duties or import charges that may be enforced at international destinations. Oak & Orchid is not responsible for lost or stolen packages if the client has requested a waiver of signature.
Recipient Address Printing
Clients must submit their mailing list within one business day of final draft approval in order to avoid production delays. The mailing list should be complete, as we are not able to accept any additional addresses that come in after the envelopes are submitted for print. If the mailing list is not submitted within a reasonable time frame, Oak & Orchid reserves the right to deliver the order with return address printed only and issue a refund for the amount the client originally paid for the recipient address printing upgrade. Clients must submit the names and addresses exactly as they wish them to appear on the envelopes. Oak & Orchid is not responsible for correcting errors, spelling out state or street name abbreviations, etiquette and/or adding the proper titles prefixing a person's name.
Please note that printed colors can vary slightly between items printed on different media. For example, a blue color printed on wood may not turn out the exact same blue when it is printed on paper. We go through each order by hand to assure the same exceptional quality throughout. However, we cannot guarantee a printed color will be an exact match to the preview as it appears on a client's monitor or previously ordered samples.
Real Wood Variance
Because wood is a natural product, slight irregularities and inconsistencies may occur, which only add to the uniqueness and beauty of these products. Such characteristics do not qualify as defects. Wood color and grain pattern can vary from one batch to another. We never substitute and will always print on the client's choice of wood specie. However, we cannot guarantee the wood grain or color will be an exact match to the preview as it appears on a client’s monitor or previously ordered samples.
Refunds & Cancellations
Due to the specialized and custom nature of our service, we do not accept cancellations or refunds, unless there is an extenuating circumstance and an agreement can be reached that is fair for us both.
If a product is deemed defective due to the fault of Oak & Orchid, the following resolution will be offered: Oak & Orchid will reprint at no charge to the client with the same production and delivery terms extending from the time of resolution. The client must contact Oak & Orchid within three days of receiving the order.
Reprints for client errors:
Refunds and/or complimentary reprints are not offered for client errors. Oak & Orchid will make the desired changes and reprint the original order at cost for each reprinted item. In such an event, the client will be responsible for all delivery costs and/or rush charges. Client errors include, but not limited to: typos, incorrect spelling or wording revisions, last minute changes, the client’s desire for a different layout, color or printing method; and slight color variances within four color (CMYK) industry standards for pleasing color.
Artwork shall remain the property of Oak & Orchid; granting to the client one-time use of the designs for their special event. Credit to Oak & Orchid should accompany the designs when photos of the final product are published online or in print. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license the client may not: copy the materials, resell the materials, claim any copyright or other proprietary notations of the materials, or transfer the license to another business or person. Clients must first have written permission to use or reproduce our designs for any other purpose.
