Despite my efforts to be a tough chic, I’m really just a hopeless romantic with a big mushy heart who loves love stories and cries like a baby at every happy ending.

I’m Sarah, the owner and creative behind Oak & Orchid. I’m just an easygoing west coast gal who loves to design and create beautiful things for print. I live in Oregon with my husband, and together we have two kids, two pups and two-story fixer upper. I guess it was kismet that I eventually ended up in the stationery biz after spending 10 years in various corporate marketing & design jobs. Growing up, I took a very specific interest in all things paper and desktop with massive collections of postage stamps, old postcards and anything vintage paper and ephemera I could get my hands on. I kept large scrapbooks full of clippings from old magazines and catalogs that made clever use of typography. I was constantly writing letters and making cards, bookmarks, drawings and other interesting paper crafts for friends & family, and it’s pretty cool to see this passion come full circle in a way that I can contribute to one of the most intimate and cherished moments of your life.

Sarah is fast, professional and has beautiful design aesthetic. Her work is absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend her to everyone.

My work is constantly evolving and a reflection of my personal style, which is natural and simple with just the right amount of elegance and sophistication. I pour my heart & soul into every design with the hope they will surprise and delight, both you and your guests.

I started selling custom wedding invitations back in 2012 as a way to express myself creatively and live more intentionally by doing the type of work I truly enjoyed. My goal was to develop something upscale and contemporary, but also pay tribute to that rustic & lush greenery vibe we love here in Oregon. My trials with various paper and printing techniques, combined with a preference for age old botanical illustrations and earthy color, led me to develop a collection that is not only inspired by nature, but classic & refined at the same time. Since the start of my business, I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with hundreds of engaged couples and event planners on a variety of personalized invitation and custom design projects, and it has been so rewarding to spend my days doing what I love to do, all the while creating tangible memories for my clients and their special occasions.
